Longfellow Fountain
2006 | Phipps Conservatory, 2009
In 2002, Frabel created a series of small and large “Longfellows”. These elongated figures play with proportions by using exaggerated extremities and stretched torsos, giving these figures an almost alien look. When light hits these sculptures, they light up at the ends and the thinner parts of the sculpture,, creating a visual magic.
